Framing

Any photograph purchased from us can be framed. We use 100% acid-free archival framing materials, which preserves the photograph over a long period of time. We frame using both traditional and float frame methods.

TRADITIONAL FRAMING

The traditional method is to place a piece of matboard over the photograph, with a window cut slightly smaller than the image. The image is revealed through the window of the matboard. In this case the glass touches the matboard, not the photograph.

FLOAT FRAMING

With Float Framing we hand tear the edges of the photograph paper to create a 'deckle' edge. In order to show this edge the mat's window is cut slightly larger then the photograph with the photograph centered within. In the same way as traditional framing the glass touches the matboard, not the photograph.
